Supporting Shu as a quiet confidant and companion while keeping an eye on the girl that cared so much. When Shu's time came, it came suddenly and without warning. A crafty monster that'd been trailing Waddles for who knows how long had finally caught up with the penguin companion in the dead of night. Awakened by the chaotic cacophony of the beast bursting into her home after its quarry, Shu did not think. She simply acted. She launched herself at the monster, knocking it away from her beloved Waddles and stood firm between them. Resolute to protect her beloved friend against this new, terrifying reality. This all consuming desire to protect was the final key.In a ray of golden light, Shu found herself changed. No ... made complete. Large floppy ears sprouted from her head as her pajamas were replaced with a strawberry adorned dress, and a feeling like all the love in her heart was now flowing through her veins like fire. Empowered like this, the monster was barely a bump on the road before she embraced Waddles, so glad the berry-patterned penguin she loved so was safe. It was the morning after when she came to from that sudden change that Waddles explained to Shu that she was now a magical girl. That the love she held in her heart had drawn them together like fate and that it was that very same love that made her so strong. As long as she loved and was loved, so as long as Shu was Shu, Waddles was sure she'd only get stronger to protect the people she cared about.This was the start of a new chapter in her life. In having found her purpose. Shu protecting people as a magical girl by day, empowered by the ties that bind, but by night she had a different task. Clever bun that she was, Shu had an idea to spread love and joy to those around her that was luckily pretty low-key. Beneath the moon she was everyone's idol, doing her best to entertain and bring smiles to the people when she wasn't saving them in the day as a magical girl.
